Jewish Women and Religious Freedom: Fostering a Community of Action In Florida
Jews for a Secular Democracy’s “Jewish Women and Religious Freedom in Florida” project aims to amplify local Jewish women’s voices and highlight religious freedom issues most impacting Jewish women in Florida today, such as reproductive justice and abortion access; gender, sexuality, and LGBTQ+ equality; public education; antisemitism; and more.
Supported by Herizon and guided by a group of dedicated volunteers on the project’s Florida Steering Committee*, we are committed to ensuring programming is led by, for, and about Jewish women, to amplify and activate Jewish women’s voices in response to white Christian Nationalism.
While this is a free and open learning journey focused on Florida, we believe it is extremely relevant and important to people around the country. Webinars and in-person events are open to all! We hope you will join us. If your organization or congregation would like to be part of this vital project, please contact Katie@jfasd.org. We’d love to talk with you.
Our Jewish Women and Religious Freedom in Florida project is generously supported by the Jewish Women’s Foundation of the Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County.
