Reclaiming Real Religious Freedom: The 1st Amendment’s Significance for Jewish Women

We believe “religious freedom” as defined by the U.S. Constitution means the right for all to live free from discrimination based on religious belief or identity. Unfortunately, the term has been dangerously flipped on its head by those using it to strip freedoms from other people. Women and LGBTQ+ folks are being disproportionately targeted and, as a minority religion, Jews have a unique voice in defending the separation of religion and government.

Please join us for this webinar and our follow-up webinar on October 17th, as we learn together about what REAL religious freedom means and what is happening in Florida on urgent religion-state separation issues including abortion access and reproductive rights, LGBTQ+ equality, secular education in schools, book banning, and more, from the perspective of Jewish women. Join Dr. Rachel Kranson, Rabbi Amy Morrison and Kara Gross from the FL ACLU for an invigorating and enlightening conversation! Once registered, you will receive a zoom link for this webinar in your email. Please email Katie@jfasd.org if you have any problems or concerns.

While aimed at Jewish women and non-binary folks in Florida, this webinar and the rest of the upcoming programming is open to everyone across the country. What happens in Florida matters everywhere!
