RESOURCES AND ACTION STEPS

Thank you for joining us at this vital event!  We hope you were inspired to action and we encourage you to translate that inspiration into tangible impact. Whether on a personal, community, state, or federal level, these 12 actionable initiatives aim to help you catalyze positive change. 
Personal and Professional: 

  • Attend Jewish Women and Religious Freedom Follow-up Events: Stay engaged by attending our follow-up events. If you’ve registered for this event, you are on the JFASD email list. Look for our follow-up events! 
  • Stay Informed: Dive deeper into the topics discussed during breakout sessions, and get educated on issues related to religious freedom and women’s rights. Be wary of disinformation. Ask questions! 
  • Start Conversations: Engage friends and family in open dialogues about the conference themes, fostering understanding and awareness. Share insights gained from the conference with your social network to amplify the impact of the discussions. Use social media to share your knowledge. 

Community:

  • Host Educational Events or An In-Home Salon: Organize community events or an in-person home salon to discuss and share knowledge and insights from the conference with a wider audience. Let us know if you’d like help organizing this! 
  • Collaborate with Local Organizations: Partner with local advocacy groups to create joint initiatives addressing issues raised during the conference.
  • Volunteer: Dedicate time to local organizations working towards real religious freedom. 

State:

  • Enshrine Reproductive Rights Into the Florida Constitution: Contribute to or volunteer for Floridians Protecting Freedom. Go to https://floridiansprotectingfreedom.com/ for more information. 
  • Advocate for Legislative Change and Engage with State Representatives: Research and support state-level legislation that aligns with the conference themes, advocating for positive change. Reach out to state representatives, expressing concerns and advocating for policies that fight hatred such as antisemitism as well as promote real religious freedom, public education, LGBTQ+ rights and women’s rights. 
  • Participate in Town Halls: Attend town hall meetings and community forums to voice your opinions on relevant issues. 

Federal:

  • Write to Federal Representatives: Communicate with your federal representatives, urging them to support legislation that protects religious freedom and women’s rights.
  • Join National Advocacy Groups: Become a member of national organizations working on these issues, contributing to broader efforts for change.
  • Lobby for Policy Change: Engage in advocacy efforts to influence federal policies that impact the intersection of religious freedom and women’s rights.
