Call With Us! Tell Congress to Support Resolution 773 Recommitting to Church-State Separation
You can watch the full recording of this event on YouTube here.
With the implementation of Project 2025 in full swing and Christian nationalist rhetoric and policy in full view under this administration, it is more important than ever that Members of Congress reaffirm their commitment to the separation of church and state.
Congresswoman Ansari has taken the lead on a House Resolution, co-sponsored by Congressman Huffman, Congressman Raskin that honors the foundational principle of separation of church and state, opposes extreme right-wing Christian nationalism, and recognizes the anniversaries of President John F. Kennedy’s address to the Greater Houston Ministerial Association and President Ulysses S. Grant’s speech to the Society of the Army of the Tennessee. During these respective historic speeches, both U.S. Presidents stated their commitment to secular governance. You can read the full text of the resolution here.
The resolution currently has 20 co-sponsors—but there are 435 total Members of the U.S. House of Representatives. We need your help to get more Members on the record in support of church-state separation. Join us to call your Members of Congress and urge them to co-sponsor this resolution!
