Fighting for Church-State Separation in the Military with Mikey Weinstein of MRFF

Michael L. “Mikey” Weinstein, founder and executive director of the Military Religious Freedom Foundation (MRFF), discusses the organization’s work protecting the constitutional right to religious freedom for all members of the United States Armed Forces. A 1977 Honor Graduate of the United States Air Force Academy, Mikey was named one of the 50 most influential Jews in America by the Forward Jewish newspaper and was honored by Jews for Racial and Economic Justice with the Rabbi Marshall T. Meyer Risk-Taker Award. Americans United for the Separation of Church and State presented him with its first ever Person of the Year Award. A regular presence on TV news programs, Mikey is the author of “With God On Our Side: One Man’s War Against an Evangelical Coup in America’s Military.” Interviewed by JFASD staff lead Paul Golin on April 13, 2021.
